What we publish
Top Agent Today publishes lists of real estate agents for specific cities, neighborhoods and specialties, starting with California. We also publish articles that compare popular agents in a market, and plain-English guides to buying and selling a home.
There are two kinds of list on the site. Ranking pages place agents in numbered order. Directory pages list agents alphabetically: every agent on them met the same bar, but they aren't placed in a competitive order. Each page says which kind it is.
How each list is built
- Transaction history. We look for a documented record of closed sales in that specific market, not just active listings or a bio.
- Client reviews. We use one review platform per list, usually Zillow, so every rating and review count on a page is measured the same way.
- Local connection. Neighborhood directories only include agents with a checkable tie to that neighborhood, such as a documented sale there or an office in the area.
- Source links. Every agent entry links to the profile its figures came from, so you can verify the numbers yourself.
Where data couldn't be verified, for example when a review platform limited access during research, the page says so instead of filling the gap with a guess.
Articles
Articles compile what public profiles, brokerage pages and sales records show for a few popular agents in one market. They are not rankings, and each one lists its sources at the end.
Updates and corrections
Ratings, review counts and sales change often. Each page shows when its figures were last checked, and lists are refreshed on a regular schedule. If you spot something out of date or incorrect, including information about yourself as an agent, email contact@topagenttoday.com and we'll review it.
